The Chemical and Petroleum Engineering Department offers two programs in chemical and petroleum engineering at undergraduate and graduate levels.The Chemical Engineering and Petroleum Engineering undergraduate programs in the College of Engineering at the United Arab Emirates University are accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET.
The purpose of the Chemical and Petroleum Engineering Department is to graduate competent engineers to benefit the society; advance research in chemical and petroleum engineering, and related disciplines through collaboration across discipline, institution, and sector boundaries.

Outcomes of such consultations usually include producing reports to the sponsors. Some faculty are also involved on several national boards and some are seconded to governmental organizations.
